Our Mission

Miami Hispanic Cultural Art Center (MHCAC) will be the umbrella facility for three of the most recognized and prestigious arts organizations in Miami under the stellar direction of Pedro Pablo Peña; The Miami Hispanic Ballet (MHB), the Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami (CCBM) and the Creation Art Center (CAC). The MHCAC main building, distinguished by its classical colonial architecture, is listed as a Historic Landmark which the MHCAC will renovate and preserve and will be complemented by contemporary Miami style architecture for brand new state of the art ballet studios.

MHB provides cultural & arts programs of proven excellence, notably the International Ballet Festival of Miami, celebrating its 16th anniversary this year, and CAC’s theatrical performances of the world’s greatest Hispanic & American playwrights. The CCBM has made its mark by thrilling audiences for the last 6 years as the premier Miami Ballet company, dedicated solely to the Classical Repertoire, and in the process has established a loyal, enthusiastic and ever-growing audience.

The mission of the Miami Hispanic Cultural Art Center (MHCAC) is to bring the passion, excitement and joy of artistic excellence through the universal languages of Dance, Vocals and Fine Art Exhibitions and to present great theater and literature in Spanish, celebrating Miami’s diversity. Further, MHCAC will strive to create a vibrant presence in the community dedicated to quality, affordable performances and instruction. MHCAC will conduct classes with master artists in the new studios to enhance the development of future talent in South Florida. There will also be a renovated space in the historic building to present Art exhibitions, play readings and art films. The center will offer cultural access for visitors and local residents that enable them to enjoy the best in the Arts while preserving our HispanicCultural legacy and promoting the cultural image of downtown Miami,Brickell and Little Havana.

MHCAC is also committed to making its dance and multi-discipline arts activities and events accessible to all persons including those with disabilities, senior citizens, and children.
